Austin Zoo

I have been wanting to go to the Austin Zoo since the fall and never seemed to find the right time. Anyway, we met up with Lindsey and Zach this morning and the kids had a great time. Bryce ran around yelling, "let's go see the pandas, let's go see the lions...". Luckily the zoo had some of the animals he requested but I don't think he really cared, he liked them all. Ivy was very perky in the stroller and oohed and ahhed. Lindsey was nice enough to buy animal feed and bring a properly charged camera.

New pjs

Bryce is a pretty typical boy. He doesn't care what he's wearing. I pick out his clothes and he occasionally comments on what he's wearing. Anyway, he needed new pajamas because he had a big growth spurt. We went shopping today to grab some new ones. While browsing, I try and engage him, "look Bryce, a fire engine". I get the whatever look back at me...until he starts browsing and find these truck pjs. He was so excited. They had a ton of them but only one in his size, I'm glad I didn't have to tell him he couldn't have the 1st article of clothing he ever cared about. He insisted on carrying the pjs while we finished shopping. All day he talked about them and kept saying "wait till Daddy sees my truck pjs". It's nice to have a good day!
