Track & Field Day

Bryce had Track & Field Day at school. It was loosely organized chaos and he loved every minute of it.

The big kid is a 5th grader- I thought he was in high school. Notice Ivy and I in the upper right corner paying close attention (or talking to our friends, hard to tell)
 Basketball- that hoop was high!
I have no idea what they were doing with noodles.

Back to Houston

We rarely go to Houston but made up for lost time by going twice this month. Ivy and I went for my cousin Cooper's bar mitzvah. Bryce and Russell stayed home and played baseball. Ivy was a great traveller and loved everyone telling her how wonderful she is. She and my dad took a few pictures. I'm not telling which ones were his and which were Ivy's, she's pretty good!

Wedding Weekend

We went to Houston for the weekend for my cousin Mandy's wedding. It was the kids first time to go to a wedding and the weekend exceeded expectations! If Mandy's job doesn't work out she could have a successful career in planning kids parties. She thought of everything to keep the kids (and there were a lot there) entertained and included in all of the weekend events. We had such a great weekend with family and friends!

Bluebonnets

While people in Texas love to shove their kids out of moving vehicles to take pictures of them surrounded by bluebonnets on the side of extremely busy highways, we thought we'd break tradition this year. My parents have a ton of bluebonnets in their backyard so while these pictures lack danger, hopefully you will still enjoy them.

Tee Ball Time

Bryce is playing his first season of tball and they had a scrimmage on Saturday. My only experience with baseball was the one season my brother played when we were little. I'm not sure who disliked it more, me or him.

Bryce is loving it. There's a lot to learn, luckily his father has a lot to say on the subject. Ivy likes baseball more than soccer so far because she likes climbing on the bleachers. Soccer only provided dirt for its spectators.

Ski Trip

We took the kids and my parents to Red River, NM for a ski trip. The adults had not skied in over 10 years and it was the first time for the kids. None of us had been to Red River. The trip to get there was going to be long, Ivy hates the cold, blah blah blah (as Bryce said throughout the trip)...I was hoping for the best but prepared for total disaster. Luckily hope won out and it was such a wonderful trip!! The kids did great and we all had such a good time. There are a lot of pictures, after 1 or 2 I'm sure you get the idea.

Happy Hanukkah

The kids were so excited for the first night of Hanukkah and it didn't disappoint. We had a nice dinner and then got right to candle lighting. Bryce wanted to light the candles and did a good job teaching us all about the shamash and the menorah and everything he has learned in Sunday School.
Kids loved their presents and the best part..
Russell brought home doughnuts! Hope the next 7 nights are as fun as the first.
